Remarks. Species of Australian origin arrived in Europe in the 20th century (Vorst & Cuppen 2000). As a mold-feeding species, it can occasionally be found on mold-infested grains (Vorst & Cuppen 2000). Cartodere (A.) nodifer was not reported from Romania in the latest monograph on Western Palaearctic Ladridiidae (Rücker 2020). However, there are at least two recent records of the species, one from 2009 (Merkl et al. 2011) and one after 2014 (Dorobăț et al. 2019); on both occasions, the species was found in natural habitats.
