Ahmadi (2002) recorded Pachylaelaps magnus Halbert, 1915 from Iran, but we can not confirm this record. Mašán (2007) and Mašán & Halliday (2014) reported that P. magnus is a junior synonym of P. (Pachylaelaps) ensifer Oudemans, 1902, and it has been widely misidentified instead of P. (Pachylaelaps) troglophilus Willmann, 1940 (Mašán, 2007), so we have removed it from our list.
