Notes. Regarding this species, here we considered all the ecological data of the species O. hispani for O. anovillosus, which had been presented and misidentified by Costa (1963, 1966, 1971) and Koroleva (1977b), based on Mašán (2007) and Mašán & Halliday (2014). Costa (1963, 1971) found O. anovillosus in a large number on the bodies of and in association with adult specimens of Copris hispanus . Costa (1966) observed it feeding on the nematode Panagrellus sp. under laboratory conditions. Koroleva (1977b) found it in forest litter, on Copris sp., C. hispanus, and the Turkestan termite, Anacanthotermes turkestanicus Jacobson, 1904 .
