Epirhyssa zaphyma Porter 1978

Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from all other Neotropical Epirhyssa by the combination of the following characters: 1) almost entirely fulvous; 2) tergite I long, about 2.5–3.0 times as long as posteriorly broad; and 3) clypeus with a strong median tubercle.
Distribution. Brazil; Colombia; Ecuador; Peru.

Biological notes. This species is well distributed in lowland Amazonia and is recorded for the first time from Brazil, Ecuador and Peru.
