Material examined. MBC-A077984; MBC-A077985; A 22295; MBC-A077983; A22333; MBC-A077986. Identification. Test low, heart-shaped, truncated posteriorly, with distinctive anterior groove; genital pores three. Marginal and peripetalous fascioles well developed.

Global maximum size. Maximum length 50 mm.

Global distribution. Endemic to West coast of South Africa, at 122–400 m depth (Döderlein 1910; Clark & Courtman-Stock 1976).
