Redescription. Length 6.4–8.3 mm, width 2.4–3.1 mm. General color (Fig. 19) purplish black; antenna black except X–XI white or pale yellow. Antennae filiform in males, but antennomere VI–IX swollen, X with a broad lateral process at middle (Fig. 20A), length ratios of antennomeres I–XI 1.0: 0.3: 0.6: 0.7: 0.7: 0.7: 0.9: 0.7: 0.7: 0.7: 1.0, length to width ratios of antennomeres I–XI 3.1: 1.5: 2.4: 2.7: 2.7: 2.3: 2.4: 2.3: 2.3: 2.3: 5.1; filiform in females (Fig. 20B), length ratios of antennomeres I–XI 1.0: 0.3: 0.7: 0.8: 0.8: 0.7: 0.8: 0.7: 0.7: 0.7: 1.0, length to width ratios of antennomeres I–XI 3.2: 1.6: 2.7: 3.2: 3.0: 2.9: 3.1: 3.0: 3.1: 3.0: 4.4. Elytra elongate and parallel-sided, 1.9x longer than wide; disc with dense, coarse punctures, arranged into longitudinal rows, with one weak longitudinal ridge between two longitudinal rows of punctures, ridges near suture abbreviated. Tarsomeres I of front legs swollen in males; subparallel in females. Aedeagus (Figs 20 C–20E) slender, 5.8x longer than wide; parallel-sided, subapically narrowed, apex with median shallow, narrow notch, apices narrowly rounded; tectum well sclerotized, basally broadened, as wide as aedeagus; almost straight from base to apical 1/ 4 in lateral view, and then slightly curved, apex narrowly rounded; ventral surface with deep notch from apex to basal 1/5, mesally extending and approximate at apical 1/6; triangular sclerites small; internal sac with one median, elongate sclerite, parallelsided but basally broadened, with one pair of small hook-like sclerites near apex, and one pair of large hook-like sclerites at middle, disc covered by dense teeth. Gonocoxae (Fig. 20G) elongate, widest at apical 1/6, both gonocoxae combined together from basal 1/7 to apical 1/6; apices narrowly rounded, each gonocoxa with eight setae along outer margin from apex to apical 1/6; with one pair of short lateral processes at basal 2/5. Ventrite VIII (Fig. 20F) elongate and well sclerotized; disc with several long setae laterally and near apical margin, and with dense, short setae along apical margin; spiculum extremely slender. Receptacle of spermatheca (Fig. 20H) strongly swollen; pump slender and strongly curved; proximal spermathecal duct deeply inserted into receptacle, narrow and short.
Variation. The color pattern varies in some individuals, such as metallic purple elytra and metallic blue other parts of the body or metallic green elytra and metallic blue in other parts (Figs 19A, 19B). A few specimens (Sarawak: Lundu) have yellow antennomeres IX.
Diagnosis. Specimens of T. kedenburgi and T. tsoui sp. nov. are recognized by their two apical white antennomeres, although specimens from some populations of T. elegantula from Sabah also have two apical white antennomeres, and some individuals of T. kedenburgi have three apical white antennomeres. These differ from T. kedenburgi by the ridges near the sutures of the elytra and presences of lateral processes on antennomeres IX.
