Acylophorus lomaensis Levasseur, 1971

(Fig. 23)

Material examined. BOTSWANA: Kasane: Chobe Safari Park, banks of Chobe, 17O48’S 25O8’E, M Uhlig, 12– 13. iii.1993, 10 (ZMHB).

Discussion. Previously only recorded from the Congo catchment and the single type locality in Sierra Leone, this new material of A. lomaensis from Botswana represents a considerable southward extension of its known distributional range. As with A. salifi, there is some variation in the form of the aedeagus and other features between different populations, which may represent a complex of species.
