Discussion. In the catalogue of Jin & Xia (1994) and Liu & Xia (1994), all recorded the Haplogryllacris castanea (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1888) distributed in China, but according the original information of type specimen provided by Brunner von Wattenwyl (1888; “Patria: Himalaja (c. m.).”) Karny (1929c:“ 1 male (Typus), coll. B r. v. W. Nr. 2710, Himalaya,Thorey, beiderseits gespannt.— 1 female (det. B r. v. W.), coll. B r. v. W. Nr. 5506, Hinterindien, Thorey, ungespannt.”), we thought the species hardly distributed in China.
Species included. The genus includes 7 species, one of which in China.
