Holotype ♂ (pinned), Myanmar, Kachin, Kanphant, 15 km north, Mt. Inwa Bum, near pass, 3020 m, 26°10’31.9”N 98°30’03.4”E, 4.x.2010, leg. S. Naumann, genitalia in glycerine vial (MfN).
Etymology. The specific epithet is a patronym of King Anawrahta, the founder of the Pagan (= Bagan) Empire in the 11th century and considered the father of the Burmese nation.
Diagnosis. According to male genitalia, the new species is closely similar to N. nozakii Yang & Leng 2004 (in Leng & Yang 2004), described from Zhejiang, China. Both species share the reduced form of the intermediate appendages and dorsally excavated inferior appendages. The new species differs from N. nozakii in other small details of nearly all genitalia structures, which can be recognized from comparing genitalia illustrations.
Description. Length of each forewing 22 mm, wingspan 45 mm. Head, thorax and abdomen flavescent, maxillary palpi long and black, basal article yellow, labial palpi black; antennae slightly longer than forewings, with scapes brown and flagellum black. Femora and coxae flavescent, tibiae and tarsal segments black, praetarsus without ventral spines, spurs 1.2.2. Forewings light brown (Fig. 18), hairs on veins and membrane minute; hind wings membranous, frenulum with five bristles.
Male genitalia (Figs 9D–9F). Tergum VIII slightly produced in middle of posterior margin, with black patch of tiny spines. Segment IX with narrow dorsal and broad ventral parts, ventral part with medial line. Superior appendages in vertical position, little protruding. Intermediate appendages short, rounded, close to superior appendages. Segment X largely desclerotized. Inferior appendages broad and nearly quadrangular in ventral view, slightly excavated on dorsal surface. Phallic apparatus with short aedeagus, apex bifid, parameres longer than aedeagus, parallel-sided and rounded apically.
