Diagnosis of male. Length over 3.0 mm; postgenae broadly expanded laterally; antennomeres IX–X strongly modified, IX strongly projecting at anterolateral corner, X strongly transverse and broadly concaved ventrally; pronotum with round lateral margins; elytra in contrast to abdomen relatively small; metaventral processes long; protibia with small, acute apical spine; metacoxa with long ventral projection; aedeagus asymmetric, with stout median lobe narrowed at apex and bent rightwards.
Description. Male (Fig. 10B). Length 3.17–3.24 mm. Head slightly longer than wide, HL 0.67–0.68 mm, HW 0.64–0.66 mm; eyes small, each composed of about 22 facets. Antennal scape about 3.6 times as long as wide, antennomeres II–VII more or less elongate, VIII transverse, slightly expanded laterally, antennomere IX (Fig. 12A) broad, strongly projecting at anterolateral corner, antennomere X transverse, broadly concave on ventral margin. Pronotum (Fig. 12B) slightly longer than wide, PL 0.62–0.63 mm, PW 0.59–0.62 mm, with round lateral margins. Elytra small, much broader than long, EL 0.72–0.73 mm, EW 1.06–1.07 mm. Metathoracic wings reduced. Metaventral processes (Fig. 12C) long, narrowed apically. Protrochanter and profemur (Fig. 12D) simple; protibia (Fig. 12E) with small but distinct spine at apex; mesotrochanter and mesofemur (Fig. 12F) simple; metacoxa (Fig. 12G) with long, apically narrowed ventral projection. Abdomen broad at base and narrowed posteriorly, AL 1.16– 1.20 mm, AW 1.06–1.07 mm; tergite IV longest, more than twice as long as tergite V; sternite IX as in Fig. 12H. Length of aedeagus (Fig. 12 I–K) 0.43 mm; median lobe asymmetric, strongly narrowed at apex; parameres broadened dorso-ventrally, apex flattened.
Female. Similar to male in general morphology; eyes each composed of about 22 facets; antennae and legs simple, lacking metaventral processes. Measurements: BL 2.92–3.05 mm, HL 0.64–0.66 mm, HW 0.59–0.62 mm, PL 0.59–0.62 mm, PW 0.59–0.62 mm, EL 0.67–0.70 mm, EW 1.03–1.05 mm, AL 1.02–1.07 mm, AW 1.08–1.09 mm.
Distribution. China: Gansu.
Etymology. The new species is named after Longnan City, where the type locality is located.
Comparative notes. The new species is placed as a member of the L. shibatai -group base on the laterally expanded postgenae and round pronotal lateral margins. Labomimus longnan sp. nov. is most similar to L. dilatatus sp. nov. described above in sharing the strongly expanded antennomere IX and transverse antennomere X, the relatively small elytra, and a spinose apex of the protibia. They can be readily separated by the less strongly modified antennomere VIII, by the differently formed antennomere IX, and by the narrower subapical portion of the aedeagal median lobe of L. longnan sp. nov. .
