Material Examined. LEBANON: 1 male, Kesrouane, Achkout, 23.VI.2004, O. Montreuil leg. (COM) . SYRIA: 1 male, Kessab, 03.VII.1976, C. Blumenthal (CGS) .

Distribution. This species was described from Israel (Haifa). Its presence in Syria was reported by Bezděk (2016) and is here confirmed. We record it here also for Lebanon (first country record, Fig. 4).

Remarks. The three species H. joannis, H. indaryi and H. petrovitzi present similar parameres and their identification based on currently available literature may result tricky. They can be separated by the characters in the table 1.
