Ecology. Anecic species with one record in an alder forest (Graff 1953b), another one on a grassland site (Brauckmann 2002).

Zoogeographical distribution type. Central European distribution (Csuzdi & Zicsi 2003).

Distribution in Germany. Southern Germany (Brauckmann 2002; PSMS in Bavaria: www.edaphobase.org); western Germany (Graff 1953b).

Taxonomic remark. The distribution of the three subspecies in Germany is unknown. The subspecies are characterized by slightly different Zoogeographical distributions (Csuzdi & Zicsi 2003) as well as differences in leaf litter acceptance and cast deposition (Zicsi et al. 2011). They might therefore represent distinct species.
