Redescription. Body slightly shiny, reddish-brown, sparsely pubescent, covered with long golden setae; legs, antennae and maxillary palpi slightly lighter, length: 2.21–2.35 mm; maximum width of elytra 0.69–0.71 mm. Head almost as wide as long, eyes composed of five or six ommatidia located around small ocular spine; clypeus large, rounded; frons with large, deep, triangular excavation that is slightly prolonged anteriorly, forming blunt angle at apex; vertex elevated, forming large hump and three well-defined carinae remote from margin of frontal excavation and extending two-thirds of head length, vertexal pits separated, distant from lateral margin of head; surface between carinae almost glabrous; antennae (Fig. 2a) relatively short and robust, 0.93–0.96 mm long, scape cylindrical, clearly longer than wide, pedicel slightly longer than wide, antennomeres III–IV as long as wide, V longer than wide, VI–VII as long as wide, VIII weakly transverse, IX triangular with small excavation in middle, clearly wider than long, antennomere X transverse, also triangular, with small excavation, terminal antennomere asymmetrical, about 1.2 times as long as wide, at base with small lateral protuberance and large triangular excavation. Pronotum as long as wide, slightly shorter than head, basal third with small triangular pointed spines; carinae evanescent, median antebasal and lateral foveae well-defined. Elytra simple, wider than long, about 1.5 times as long as pronotum, rounded at sides, widest in middle. Abdomen slightly narrower than elytra, first visible tergite (IV) large. Legs long and slender, simple, mesofemora with one small medium, ventral spine (Fig 2e). Aedeagus 0.40 mm long (Fig 3a).

Sexual dimorphism. Females in general smaller, with simple, unmodified antennae, mesofemora lacking spine.
