EOFOERSTERIA Mathot, 1966
(Figs 380–387)
Eofoersteria Mathot, 1966: 231 . Type species: Eofoersteria camptopteroides Mathot, 1966, by original designation.
Diagnosis. Body length 220–260 μm. Funicle 6-segmented, without ring segment (Fig. 385); metascutellum in lat- eral view with dorsellum slightly overhanging almost vertical propodeum (Fig. 380); fore wing narrow and curved (Fig. 380); tarsi 4-segmented, with tarsomere 4 over 2× as long as tarsomere 3 (Fig. 387).
Discussion. Eofoersteria belongs to the Camptoptera group of genera together with Camptoptera, Camptopteroides, Macrocamptoptera, Ptilomymar and Stephanocampta . It is most similar to Camptoptera except for the reduced number of funicle and tarsal segments. Eofoersteria is one of the few genera ( Ptilomymar is another) that clearly belongs among the numerous genera with 5-segmented tarsi even though it has only 4-segmented tarsi, the apical two having fused together without trace of a suture between them.
