Discussion. Macrocamptoptera belongs to the Camptoptera group of genera together with Camptoptera, Camptopteroides, Eofoersteria, Ptilomymar and Stephanocampta . Macrocamptoptera is most similar to Camptopteroides . In both, the body is large, the head and mesosoma have relatively distinct sculpture, and the fore wing is relatively wide and patterned.
