REMARKS

The species was described by Van Name (1920) as Cubaris bananae from Banana and Zambi in the actual Democratic Republic of Congo. It is easily recognized from other species in the genus by its weak granulation only somewhat more marked in the anterior pereonites. It is known from Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon (Ferrara & Schmalfuss 1983; Schmalfuss 2003). It is recorded for the first time for São Tomé.
