82. Ixodes eudyptidis Maskell, 1885 .

Australasian: 1) Australia, 2) New Zealand (Heath & Palma 2017).

Ixodes eudyptidis has been confused with Ixodes percavatus and Ixodes uriae . Moreover, several specimens classified as Ixodes eudyptidis were later found to belong to a new species, Ixodes laridis, and some descriptions of Ixodes eudyptidis refer, in fact, to this new species, as discussed in detail by Heath & Palma (2017).
