Oriental: 1) Laos, 2) Malaysia, 3) Thailand, 4) Vietnam (Tanskul & Inlao 1989, Kolonin 2009).

Petney et al. (2019) included Laos and Myanmar within the geographic distribution of Haemaphysalis atheruri, but while there are no records of this tick from Myanmar, two bona fide collections of this species were recently made in Laos (Khamsing Vongphayloth, Institut Pasteur du Laos, personal communication to R.G. Robbins).
