Filippova (1983) stated that the holotype of Dermacentor raskemensis was collected in China. However, Chen et al. (2010), Zhang, G. et al. (2019) and Zhao et al. (2021) did not recognize the presence of Dermacentor raskemensis in that country, although Zhang, Y.K. (2019) listed this tick as found there. Hosseini-Chegeni et al. (2019) included Dermacentor raskemensis in their list of Iranian ticks, although they stated that additional studies are needed to confirm its presence in Iran. In our analysis, China (north) and Iran are provisionally included within the range of Dermacentor raskemensis .
