9. Rhipicephalus bequaerti Zumpt, 1950 .

Afrotropical: 1) Burundi, 2) Democratic Republic of the Congo, 3) Kenya, 4) Rwanda, 5) South Sudan, 6) Tanzania (Yeoman & Walker 1967, Walker 1974, Walker et al. 2000, Lynen et al. 2007, Morel 2003, Kolonin 2009, ElGhali & Hassan 2012).

Guglielmone et al. (2020) discussed differences between the morphological definition of Rhipicephalus bequaerti in Elbl & Anastos (1966c) and that in Walker et al. (2000), as well as morphological details related to other descriptions of this tick, concluding that Rhipicephalus bequaerti is not well defined, which, in turn, casts doubt on our understanding of this species’ geographic distribution.
