Afrotropical: 1) Kenya, 2) Tanzania (Yeoman & Walker 1967, Walker 1974, Apanaskevich & Horak 2008 a, Olivieri et al. 2021).

Apanaskevich & Horak (2008a) emphasized the difficulties involved in morphologically separating adults of Hyalomma albiparmatum, Hyalomma nitidum and Hyalomma truncatum, adding that it is not possible to differentiate their larvae and nymphs on the basis of morphology.

Apanaskevich & Horak (2008a) regarded records of Hyalomma albiparmatum from Togo, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Somalia as unconfirmed or the result of misidentifications, and those countries are excluded from the geographic distribution of this tick. Allam et al. (2018) stated that Hyalomma albiparmatum is found in Egypt, but this record needs confirmation.
