Eupithecia absinthiata (Clerck), ab.

(Figs 53, 65a, 65b, 65c)

Eupithecia neosatyrata, nec Inoue: Beljaev & Mironov 2019: 273 (Sakhalin).

Material examined. 1 ♂, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, STAZR, 9.VII.2011 .

Remarks. The misidentification in Beljaev & Mironov (2019, 2021) was due to a brown coloration and a distinct transverse serial striation on the wings, unusual for the typical Far Eastern specimens of E. absinthiata, and due to a small size, what makes this specimen outwardly similar to E. neosatyrata . But its male genitalia (Figs 65a, 65b, 654c) well correspond to those of E. absinthiata . Thus, E. neosatyrata has to be excluded from the fauna of Sakhalin.
