Type material

The holotype female, allotype male and 18 paratypes are in the USNM (Cat. No. 250354–56): in spirit .

Remarks

This species is very similar to P. stebbingii (see Shih 1991). It is found in the eastern tropical Pacific Ocean ranging westward to about 150ºW.
