Micropygomyia (Coquillettimyia) oppidana (Dampf): Galati 2003, 33, 81, 82 (list, male and female keys).

This species was known from Canada (Alberta, British Columbia), USA (Colorado, Montana, Texas, Washington) (Young y Perkins, 1984) and Mexico (Distrito Federal, Nuevo León) (Martins et al., 1978; Ibáñez-Bernal, 2003). Ibáñez-Bernal et al. (2006) recorded this species in the state of Veracruz, with specimens collected in El Zapotal (Municipality of Colipa). The following is a new municipality record.
