Hylophilus picinus var. rufescens Pic, 1905, syn. nov.; Type: MNHN

Type locality. Vietnam: Mỹ Tho .

Distribution. Singapore, Vietnam (Figure 1).

This species presents striking morphological similarities with Z. dentatifemur (Pic, 1912), including a longitudinal stripe of pubescence on the pronotum midline and the overall shape of the male genitalia. The shape of the tibiae, however, notably on the forelegs is unambiguously different.
