(5) Potamocypris arcuata (Sars, 1903)
and Potamocypris almasyi var. angulata Bronstein, 1925 syn. nov.
For the synonymy of P. arcuata and P. almasyi Daday, 1904, see Meisch (1985, 2000) and Karanovic (2012). Following Bronstein (1925, 1928, 1947) the var. angulata differs from the nominal form mainly in the more angularly shaped dorsal margin of the carapace in lateral view. Bronstein (1928, 1947) mentioned that he found specimens with an intermediate shape. Considering the striking variability of the carapace shape of P. arcuata (see Meisch 1985), we here consider P. almasyi var. angulata to rank within the variability range of the nominal P. arcuata .
