Heteryphantes [sic] nigricollis vacillans van Someren, 1921c: 123 (Budongo).

HOLOTYPE: AMNH 724577, adult male, collected in the Budongo forest (as on label), ca. 01.47N, 31.35E (Polhill, 1988), Uganda, on 17 December 1918. From the V.G.L. van Someren Collection via the Rothschild Collection.

COMMENTS: In the original description, van Someren designated as type the single male specimen in the Rothschild Collection collected at Budongo on 17 December 1918 and noted that he had specimens from the following localities: S. Ankole, Bugoma, Budongo, Mubendi, Mabira, Elgon, Entebbe, N. Kavirondo, Taveta, and Bukoma. The following 19 paratypes came to AMNH with the Rothschild Collection: Budongo forest, AMNH 724576, 724578–724586, five males, four females, one unsexed, collected in October and December 1918 and June 1919 ; Bugoma, AMNH 724599–724604, four males, two females, collected in October 1913, December 1918, and June and July 1919; Mabira Forest, AMNH 724607, one unsexed, June 1914; Entebbe, AMNH 724614, male, February 1919, AMNH 724619, female, October 1919. There are two paratypes in RMCA (Louette et al., 2002: 76).
