Oriolus luteolus thaiacous Hartert, 1918c: 63 (Koh- Lak, Siamese portion of northern Malay Peninsula, east of Tenasserim).

HOLOTYPE: AMNH 670561, adult male, collected at Prachuap Khiri Khan (= Koh- Lak), 11.50N, 99.50E (Deignan, 1963: 127), Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, Thailand, on 17 November 1913, by W.J.F. Williamson. From the Rothschild Collection.
COMMENTS: In the original description, Hartert gave the above data for the holotype and said that there were two additional specimens of thaiacous in the Rothschild Collection from Phum-Liou near Kompongthom, Cambodia. He also included ‘‘about 10 others from Siam in the British Museum, collected by Messrs. Herbert, Barton, Flow- er, and Williamson.’’ Paratypes in AMNH are: Phum Liou, Cambodia, AMNH 670563, unsexed, 27 July 1912, AMNH 670564, unsexed [immature], 20 August 1912, both ‘‘rec’d from Oberthür.’’
