Material examined. China: Shandong Province, Muping County, 26.viii.1988, 1 male, light trap, X.Z. Li; Guangdong Province, Fengkai County, Heishiding Natural Conversation, 20. iv.1988, 1 male, light trap, X.H. Wang.

Remarks. The species has been described in detail by Edwards (1929) and Fittkau (1962). The Chinese specimens have slightly higher LR1 0.88 (n = 1), LR2 0.65–0.74, 0.70 (n = 2), LR3 0.83 (n = 1), lower AR 1.45–1.81, 1.63 (n = 2) and shorter wing 1.65–1.70, 1.67 mm (n = 2) than the European specimens (LR1 0.70–0.75, LR2 0.56–0.60, LR3 0.62–0.66; AR 2.0; wing length 3.3–3.5 mm).

This species is known from the Palaearctic and Nearctic regions. The present paper records the species from Palaearctic and Oriental China.
