Ochthebius (Ochthebius) viridis Peyron, 1858

Chorotype. S-Mediterranean.

Remark. It was reported from Morocco by Alluaud (1926), Orchymont (1935) and Kocher (1938), but we could not study the material. Since then, no new records have been published; however, two very close species, Ochthebius viridescens and O. fallaciosus were recently collected in Morocco. Furthermore, O. viridis is a relict Eurosiberian species (Valladares et al. 2018); and this species had already been excluded by Jäch & Delgado (2008). Thus, we consider that the identification of this species should correspond to one of the two above mentioned species.
