Taxonomic history. Valid generic name.

Sex association. The female of the type species has not definitely been recognized; the presumed female was associated on the basis of morphology and distribution by Lelej & Krombein, 2001: 14 and described (as Hindustanilla nathani Lelej in Lelej & Krombein, 2001: 16).
