Taxonomic history. Junior subjective synonym of Ronisia Costa, 1858 by implication of Brothers, 1983b: 327 . New synonymy. Subjectively invalid name. (The assignment of the Australian Mutilla cooki André, 1895 to Paralletilla by Pagliano, 2005: 270, 296 was mistaken; it is a species of Trogaspidia Ashmead, 1899 sensu Lelej, 2005: 87 ( Trogaspidia cooki (André, 1895), new combination).)

Sex association. The male of the type species has not been recognized.

Distribution. Afrotropical (not Australian, see Brothers 1983b: 327).
