Xyleborus cancellatus Eggers, 1936: 89 .
Remarks. An image of a syntype (NHMW) was examined and compared to specimens from NHMUK determined by L.G. E. Kalshoven and found to be conspecific. The species is transferred to Xylosandrus Reitter, 1913 because of the following combination of characters: pronotal mycangial tuft, antennal club obliquely truncate with segment 1 encircling anterior face (type 1); protibiae slender with a prominent mucro and four socketed denticles on outer margin, procoxae narrowly separated.The species has a unique small semicircular emargination at the base of the pronotum.
