Xenoxylebora truncatula (Schedl, 1957) comb. nov.

Xyleborus truncatulus Schedl, 1957a: 94 .

Remarks. Two specimens identified by F.G.Browne were examined(NHMUK) and compared to Schedl’s description and drawings (1963: 311) and Nunberg’s description and drawings (1963: 60, plate XXX figs 3–6) and found to be conspecific. The species is transferred to Xenoxylebora Osborn, Smith & Cognato, 2022 because of the following combination of characters: antennal club obliquely truncate, segment 1 nearly covering posterior face (type 2), club round; protibiae slender, posterior face unarmed; mycangial tufts absent; and scutellum small, flush with elytra; and posterolateral margin of elytra bearing large tubercles.

Distribution. Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria, Rwanda.
