Prickly Sculpin. To 19.2 cm (7.7 in) SL (Coad 1995). Seward, Alaska (coast of northern Gulf of Alaska) to Ventura River, southern California (Morrow 1980). Benthic, usually in fresh water, occasionally in estuaries and nearshore marine waters (Mecklenburg et al. 2002); depth: to 92 m (300 ft) (Pietsch and Orr 2019).
