Island Kelpfish. To 15 cm (5.9 in) TL (González-Acosta et al. 2018). San Miguel Island, southern California (Love et al. 2005) to Isla Asuncion (27°06’N, 114°18’W), southern Baja California (M.L., unpubl. data), Rocas Alijos (24°57.5’N, 115°45’W) (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California), and into the Gulf of California at least as far northward as Playa Caleritas (24°21’N, 110°17’W) (González-Acosta et al. 2018).
