Perhaps are far north as Barkley Sound, Vancouver Island (based on a photograph reviewed by Duane Stevenson, pers. comm. to M.L.); Marin County, north of San Francisco Bay, northern California (Kiernan 1990) to Bahía San Carlos, northern Baja California (Stevenson and Matarese 2005).
