Polistes davillae Richards, 1978: 526 (key), 540, ♀.
Diagnosis. Female. Body pigmentation black, no spots, with yellow bands in the mesosoma. Relatively small size, maximum 13 mm in total length. Wings pigmentation hyaline and matte. Clypeus slightly wider than long or as long as wide, pointed apex, with long bristles located only in the inferior region, and medium-sized and deep punctures present only in the apical region; clypeus-eye touching for an extent equal to or greater than width of antennal socket; central region of the gena smaller than the eyes; occipital carina strong; humeri not projecting; mesepisternum with short and dense bristles, punctation small and shallow; propodeal concavity only in the center, propodeal striae absent; tergum I longer than wide, with short and dense bristles, and weak, small, and shallow punctures; tergum II wider or as wide as long, with short and dense bristles, weakly punctate. Male. Known, but not analyzed in our material examined.
