Material examined – type material
Holotype. CHINA: male, Yunnan, Weibaoshan mts., 25.11 ◦ N, 100.24 ◦ E, 2000–2800 m, 25–28 June 1992, leg. Vít Kubáň (NHMB).
Paratypes. CHINA: two males, Yunnan, Weishan mountains, 25.10 ◦ N, 100.21 ◦ E, 1800–2500 m, 22–25 June 1992, leg. Vít Kubáň (NHMB) .
Distribution
China (Yunnan).
Remarks
This species is well characterized by an unusual sexual dimorphism in colouration: pronotum is fulvous with a dark central stripe; elytron is completely blue in female, and is fulvous with a broad lateral dark violaceous stripe in male. Moreover, the elytra have regular rows of punctures. According to the original description, the aedeagal apex is long and narrow.
We examined the holotype and two paratypes, all are males. The type locality of the holotype is “Weibaoshan mts.”, which differs from the original description “Meibaoshan mts.”.
