Valid name is Petauroides volans minor (Collett, 1887) .

Lumholtz at Herbert Vale, Northern Queensland, December 1882; NHMO 1636 (E), mounted skin with cranium, collected by C. Lumholtz at Calliungal, 80 miles west of Rockhampton, Northern Queensland, 13 June 1881; NHMO 1638 (D), male, skin with cranium, collected by C. Lumholtz at Coomooboolaroo, 80 miles west of Rockhampton, Northern Queensland, January 1884.

Remarks. Specimen NHMO 1638 was donated to the British Museum (Natural History Museum, London: 1887.4.12.6).
