Microvelia mimula White, 1879a: 487 (original description).

Identification. Our specimens were identified based on the pronotum of apterous specimens covering the mesonotum but not the metanotum (Figs. 9A, C); and the male proctiger with a pair of long lateral projections (Figs. 9A–B) (Rúdio & Moreira 2011).

Material examined. BRAZIL, Rio Grande do Norte: Parnamirim, Rio Pitimbu, Vale Encantado, 5°55’56.3”S, 35°10’47.3”W, 17-VII-2022, R .P. R. Canejo leg. (3♂, 3♀ apterous, 2♂ macropterous CEAAVF); Serra Negra do Norte, açude lateral no rio Espinharas, 6°40’31.0”S, 37°23’02.4”W, 08-XI-2018, A.L. Melo leg. (1♂ apterous DPIC) .
