Diagnosis. According to Viana (1964), Cassidinoma differs from other genera of Omocerini by the presence of subglabrous and shiny antennomeres I–V, and the VI shinier, thinner and longer than V. Prosternal process subglabrous, shiny, coarsely punctuated; without apical or lateral prolongation. Surface of elytra granulated; central gibbous high and prominent, with a pair of large tubercles; lateral margin crenulated with regular small denticles.
