Remarks. Phloeonomus subopacus was originally described from “Chakrata District; Simla Hills...”. Steel (1960) redescribed it and transferred to the genus Paraphloeostiba . The species was known from the Himalayan regions of India (Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand). It is here recorded from southern India (Tamil Nadu) for the first time. Habitus as in Fig. 35.
