Susuacanga blancaneaui (Bates, 1880) comb. nov.

Geographical distribution. Mexico (Oaxaca, Chiapas), Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador.

Type material examined. Holotype, BELIZE, Toledo: River Sarstoon, male (BMNH).

Specimens examined. No locality label, female (USNM); MEXICO, Oaxaca: Santiago Xiacui (2030 m), female, VI.2006. D. Curoe leg. (MNRJ). PERU, Loreto: Iquitos, male (USNM).

Comments. Susuacanga blancaneaui is recorded from Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras and El Salvador. A specimen was found labeled as from Loreto, Peru. This is doubtful. Additional specimens are needed from this area to confirm the records validity.
