DISTRIBUTION: Honduras to S. California, Arizona, and New Mexico (USA); perhaps Venezuela.

COMMENT: It is doubtful that ponsi (described from N.W. Venezuela) is referrable to this genus; see Jones and Carter, 1976:18.
