DISTRIBUTION: Philippines.

COMMENT: Includes solifer; see Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951:105. Probably a subspecies of melanopogon (KFK). Corbet and Hill, 1980:45, listed solifer as a distinct species without comment.
