COMMENT: The New Guinea record is highly questionable (KFK and ACZ). Type locality given in K. Andersen, 1912, Cat. Chiroptera Br. Mus., 2nd ed. p. 790, is "New Ireland, coast adjacent to Duke of York Isl." (ACZ).
