TYPE LOCALITY: Zaire, Niangara .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the holotype.

COMMENT: Peterson, 1972, R. Ont. Mus. Life Sei. Contrib., 85:4- 12, included this species in trevori; Hayman and Hill, 1971, Part 2, listed it as a subspecies of T. congica (= Mops congicus). Freeman, 1981:111, 159, considered it a distinct species pending collection of additional specimens.
