TYPE LOCALITY: Indonesia, Java .
DISTRIBUTION: Taiwan and Malaya, south and east to New Guinea, Bismarck Arch., Solomon Isis, to New Hebrides and coastal Australia (except Western Australia); perhaps Tibet (China).
COMMENT: Includes taiwanensis; see Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951:149; but see also Findley, 1972, Syst. Zool., 21:43. Includes carimatae and abbotti; see Tate, 1941, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 78:551. Includes Anamygdon solomonis; see Phillips and Birney, 1968, Proc. Biol. Soc. Wash., 81:495. Medway, 1969:35, listed this species from Thailand, but Lekagul and McNeely, 1977:206, did not (FRA).
