Near Ras el-Ain, Tyre, N 33˚ 12.927 E 35˚13.056, 5 m asl, 06.V.2012, banana plantation, net, 1 male, leg. A. Alwin (UG). Ras el-Ain, Tyre, avocado plantation, 15.IX–20.X.2012, yellow sticky trap, 2 males, leg. H. Abdul-Nour (UG); citrus plantation, 15.IX–20.X.2012, yellow sticky trap, 20 males, leg. H. Abdul-Nour (LU & UG).

Distribution. Gambia (Clastrier & Wirth 1961), Ghana (Carter et al. 1921), South Africa (de Meillon & Wirth 1981), Israel (Dominiak et al. 2007), Yemen, Oman (Boorman & van Harten 2002), the United Arab Emirates (Szadziewski et al. 2011), and Réunion (Clastrier 1959). The record from Ethiopia (de Meillon & Wirth 1981) is doubtful. This species is new for the Lebanese fauna.
